Logistics Management Solutions have been in the logistics industry since 1997.
Over the next couple of years the company developed solutions for SCS, Barloworld, C-Rand, Gambare, Sauce-ing, Namlog etc. The initial solutions where distributed where each branch would host it's own data with regular synchronisation that would sync the branch data to a central server.
Following this, LMS managed to land substantial contracts with Media24 and OTD. Around 2009, due to improvement of South Africa's telecommunication infrastructure, we changed the architecture of our software completely. The software went from a distributed system to a centralised system. This meant that all the data was realtime, providing more accurate tracking of data as well as improved management reports.
With this new architecture, LMS landed some more contracts including City Logistics, Macdonald transport, Imperial Express and DBSchenker. Due to operational changes some of our applications were taken in-house as internal systems by some of our customers. That moved our focus to more of the warehousing side of things.
Currently, with our primary focus on warehousing software some of our warehousing customers include Colibri Towels, Futurelife and KGS Freight.
